3 steps to ensure your shop is safe and secure - Britannia Retail

You never put that much thought into security until something goes wrong, we're here to help you act before something goes wrong. It's time to get proactive.

For many shop-owners a break in is the worst case scenario for their retail store, and livelihood. But the truth is that burglars look at retail stores as a target. In order to protect your livelihood and stock there are important measures you can take to protect your property.

ROLLER SHUTTER

Anyone who owns a retail shop should have Roller Shutters on all entry points. To a potential intruder what could be more off putting than a sheet of metal blocking your path. You would be hard pressed to walk down a UK high street and not see a Roller shutter on every shop. They are a fundamental part of your shop security.

RETRACTABLE GRILLE

A potential alternative to the Roller Shutters, Retractable bar grilles can sit behind shop front windows to prevent intruders breaking the glass and entering the shop. Again this will be a massive visual deterrent to would be intruders. If you can't install a roller-shutter on your shopfront then this is the next best option.

SECURITY DOORS

Your entry points are your most vulnerable areas, so it makes sense to replace that battered old back door with a heavy duty Security door. Your security is only as strong as your weakest link so ensure that all access points are the safest they can be.
